John Steele, vice president of research and operations at Co-operative Logistics Network (CLN), which serves the world’s freight forwarders, freight brokers and transporters, said: “The conventional aviation network worldwide is very slow. They are mostly hub and spoke operations which happen within these larger operators. There are only a couple of flight hubs out of virtually every airport in the world. “What we need is a very flexible system in the sky. The freight network needs the network as a pilot.”to take advantage of the ability of aircraft to fly in a corridor and make routes globally to take advantage of land transport.
